Since the very first meeting in 1852, LBC has existed to share the good news of the gospel. We are a committed group of believers seeking to make a difference and grow together as we follow Christ.

Our Mission

 

We exist to develop spiritually mature individuals (Luke 2:52 ~ mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually).

 

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US

 

  • We gather corporately on Wednesdays and Sundays, and invite you to join us as we worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  • We would love to connect with you and help you take your next spiritual step (Col. 2:6-7).

  • Our church building is located in the middle of town and we gather our church families from Lyon, Muir, Pewamo, Portland, and Ionia.

At a young age I heard a Sunday School lesson about hell and was afraid about going to a place of total destruction I raised my hand and a teacher dealt with me but it wasn't until my  Junior year in college that the Lord began to get a hold of my heart and I put my faith and trust in God November 15, 1991. While attending at Maranatha Baptist University, God was working on me to be willing to do whatever the Lord had planned for my life and I surrendered to preach the gospel. I began to help at First Baptist Church in Hartford, Wisconsin as a youth director and it was at this time the Lord affirmed in my heart that I was to be a pastor. I also have worked as a ​youth pastor in Wyoming and Illinois. While attending Maranatha, I married the love of my life, Christy, and we have been married for over 27 years.  My wife and I have four children. We came to Lyons Baptist Church in August of 2012, and are looking forward to great things God has in store for the church here in Lyons.
